Queenstown mentoring outing!=D

Yesterday was a big event for all the Queenstown mentors though not everyone turned up. It was a successful one. I enjoyed myself a lot.

I met up with lei sim at 9.15 am yesterday. Basically, everyone was quite late. Nevertheless, it did not stop us from doing what we were supposed to. First, we headed to Nas’s house. His mother was kind enough to lend us her kitchen to fry all the food. We had to wait for the other to turn up before doing anything else. Later, when the others turned up, we started discussing about the schedule and stuffs.

At about 2pm, lei sim, Afiq, Ben and I headed to Ben’s house for further preparation.

At about 3.50pm, lei sim and I went to Yew Tee MRT station to fetch the mentors to the function room.

Yesterday was the first time I met someone after 3months. At least, he has seen me once or twice before but I did not. I am quite amazed that we are still able to maintain our friendship despite of this. The day before the party, he told me that he hoped that I will not be screaming or laughing when I saw him. I think I felt so shy when I saw him that I did not dare to talk to him. I had to tell the individual their respective group, so I told the guys to help me to tell him. But, somehow, they pushed me to him. After telling him, I screamed and ran off and I think I was blushing too. The others were quite stunned by my reaction and laughed at me. I think both of us were too shy to speak to each other or even said a ‘hi’ so eventually we did not manage to talk.

Anyway, half of them were late so Adrian told one of us to bring the group over first. After awhile, when Marzuk came back from the toilet, he told me to leave first as I was the organizer and also the MC. He left with me. He was very kind to give me plasters to paste over my ankle as it was hurt by my high heels. He kept asking me if I was alright and told me to stop and adjust the plaster before walking. But, I insisted on walking as we were quite late. I felt quite terrible as it was raining cats and dogs while we were trying to walk there and had to bear with the pain.

The event went quite smoothly other than me kept laughing and screaming during the games. Ivy was funny. Everyone teased that we were going to die when she became the wacko. They kept bullying Afiq. Yesterday was so much fun. The food was quite nice too. I liked Marzuk’s jelly and Wei ping’s potato bacon.

Firstly, I would like to thank Ben for booking the function rooms at his condo. I love your condo and everything. That Afiq kept saying that it was his condo yesterday. We could only “agree” with him. Lei sim said “wo zhen de fu le ta”. This Afiq is really very funny at times. For example, when u praised someone, he would say a bit like me. Anyway, without the function rooms, we might have a difficult time to look for another place to hold the party.

Secondly, I would like to thank Nas for asking his mother to lend us his kitchen. Without the kitchen, we wouldn’t have so much delicious food.

Thirdly, I would like to thank my school coordinators, Jackson and Ivy. Without their support, we might not be able to run this party so smoothly.

Fourthly, I would like to thank the mentors for bringing the food to yesterday’s party. Without them, we wouldn’t have so much delicious food and wouldn’t be so full.

Fifthly, I would like to thank everyone for coming.

Other than saying thank you, I do not know what to say. I was quite touched to receive massages from the mentors and Ivy to thank us for the wonderful event. Nas said everyone (or maybe just most or some?) was proud of me (I guess because I am too crazy at times so they were proud of me.) And Ben for saying it was a successful one. I do agree!

I would like to apologize for my bad performance. I did not do a good job as a MC. I would like to thank Afiq for being a wonderful MC.
