Books recommendation
againI am here to recommend some books. I am trying hard to complete them before the due dates as I only have the time to read after dinner.
Actually, I think I am trying to complete all books which Nicholas Sparks has written. Perhaps, they are all popular among people and difficult to borrow from the library, so the urge of me wanting to complete everything is stronger.
A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks
I searched high and low for this book for almost a year. The first thing when I got it, I messaged my sister to deliver the great news. Unfortunately, I doubt that she has the time to read it.
Anyway, the “writer” took us back to 40years ago when telling the story of how they met. The "writer" had never expected to be with her – unless he was a God. She was very kind-hearted, never held any grudges, patient and extraordinary. They did not really get together as smoothly as it should be because the girl’s dad. He had never liked him until later. Unfortunately, the time being together was very short but happy.
I wonder if this type of person ever existed. If there was, it is something wonderful.
Message in a Bottle by Nicholas SparksCompared to that, I prefer this book more. I am not sure why, either. Perhaps, I had already anticipated the ending of it when reading more than half of it. To me, it was a little obvious.
Anyway, seriously, when reading, I thought it would be a sweet and happy ending but it is not. I am not disappointed as I am quite a fan of sad stories- but I am not a sadist, this is for sure.
It was the messages in the bottle that brought them together. The female was divorced with her husband for three years and was struggling between her work, son and the house i.e. bills, housework, etc. The man was still struggling with his own emotion over his lost of wife whom he had known for almost all his lifetime. That was the situation they were in when they met. Somehow, their first meeting drew attraction from each other.
Remember, they were both lonely when met.
