That rude guy
I was listening to my MP3 when suddenly I heard a commotion going on which got my attention.
Initially, I thought the group of people who sat 2 tables away from me, knew each other. When I listened hard again, it was the middle-age man commenting the behaviour of the guy not older than 25, who sat beside him.
He used words like “irritating, disturbing” and his tone was angry, disturbed and harsh.
The commotion scared off the 2 other people who shared the same table.
At that moment, I really felt sorry for that young guy.
When it was finally quiet down, he made a call which got the attention of the middle-age man. He said “who are you trying to call? Trying to threaten me?”
He replied saying “nonsense”
At that moment, I seriously felt like walking to that middle-age guy and saying “enough is enough” and thought that since he dared to comment on that guy’s behavior with a rude tone, why should he be scared of the consequences?
When he returned to his seat, the middle-age guy started asking “who are you trying to call? Don’t you threaten me! You are at fault. I was doing my work and you are irritating me.”
I heard a faint reply saying he was calling his family or whoever and not trying to threaten him.
GOSH!
Understand why I have bad impression of some Singaporeans?
Seriously, I think he was so immature, insensitive and rude!
Yes, it was that guy’s fault for doing whatsoever thing which disturbed him but he did not need to say those words. A sinned guy is a human being too. He has a pride too.
He could simply say “could you please lower down the volume of your mp3 because I am doing my work?” and give a warm smile. And not keep ranting on and one and use some harsh words.
-_-“
This is just a classic example of how some Singaporeans behave in public. Sigh.
